I was out looking for a quick stop for lunch and decided to try out the new shawarma place that opened up on 36th ave right in the Vista strip mall. The food was amazing and one of the co-owners, Ali, came by to tell us a bit about the food and himself.

I tried the gemuse (roasted vegetables) wrap and my husband had the chicken. They were quite different from what we get at other shawarma places that we frequent. I was told the style was authentic Turkish. The spices are imported from Europe and the sauces are all made in house. They also make their own bread and marinate their own meat. This effort and dedication shows in the quality of the food at McDoner. I absolutely recommend you try it out for yourself!

Ali has over 20 years experience in the food industry and is actually an Italian chef from Italy. I am excited that he decided to set up shop in Marlborough as we always eat close to home. Help support your local business!
