The Calgary Marlborough Community Association warmly invites all members to our upcoming Annual General Meeting. Your community needs your voice, your ideas, and your energy!
Why You Should Attend
This is your chance to help decide who represents our neighbourhood and shapes the direction of our community hall and programs.
- Hear a short update on what’s been accomplished this past year.
Nominate yourself or another member for a board position.
Cast your vote to elect the people who will guide our community association.
Board Elections at the AGM
At the CMCA Annual General Meeting, all board positions are up for election each year. If you’ve ever thought about helping out, this is your chance to step forward.
Who can run?
Any CMCA member with a current membership can nominate themselves or be nominated.
Who can vote?
Every CMCA member who is 18 years or older and holds a current membership.
What positions are open?
All of them—current board members may run again, but every role is open to election.
What’s the commitment?
A few hours each month for board meetings and occasional events or projects.
Is this a job?
No—these are volunteer positions. None of us are paid. We do this to make Marlborough stronger.
Bring Your Ideas to Life
The community association is shaped by the people who step forward. Our hall and programs are like a blank canvas—we can create almost anything with the right ideas, energy, and time.
You don’t have to join the board to make a difference. Here are a few ways to get involved:
- Share your ideas for new programs, events, or services.
- Volunteer at community events or activities.
- Help spread the word to neighbours and encourage participation.
- Join a committee or working group on a topic that interests you.
